San Jose Mailing's goal is to provide state of the art direct mail, printing, and data processing services to our customers in a time sensitive and cost effective manner.

History

Bill Wilson and Stan Barrios founded San Jose Mailing in 1982. Longtime friends from high school, the pair started the company to service the needs of their other venture, a small chain of community newspapers in Evergreen and East San Jose. They needed a reliable vendor to label and mail the newspapers – and who could be more reliable than themselves?

Bill and Stan got started in a 2,000 sq. ft. metal building with just a labeling machine, folding machine, and tying machine. But within a year, San Jose Mailing became so successful that the partners sold their newspaper chain to concentrate on their burgeoning corporate client base.

Today, San Jose Mailing counts many of Silicon Valley’s leading technology companies as clients. Bill and Stan still run the company, focusing on bringing the latest in technology and mailing services to bear on projects ranging from large distribution catalog mailings to simple postcard distribution.

San Jose Mailing is at the forefront of mailing technology, and a trusted partner to the United States Postal Service. The company was well ahead of its competitors when the USPS demanded that all commercial mailings be automated; Bill and Stan had already invested (two years earlier!) in direct imaging equipment and software more than capable of exceeding the Post Office’s requirements.

Like any company that lives and breathes by the quality of its service, Bill and Stan are also committed to their staff. San Jose Mailing employs only top-flight, heavily experienced managers, operators and customer service representatives to service client needs.

For 20 years, San Jose Mailing has been the standard-bearer in mailing and printing services, and continues to expand its range of services to accommodate customer requests. Now in its own 20,000 sq. ft. facility, the company offers variable data printing, two-color printing, custom assembly and data processing.
